SECURITY OPERATION IN MAZATLAN: 28 ARRESTED AND 15 LONG WEAPONS SEIZED IN EL ROBLE

MAZATLÁN, Sinaloa, Mexico.— As part of ongoing joint security efforts in the rural area of the municipality of Mazatlán, Sinaloa, elements from the Interinstitutional Group successfully executed a strategic ground deployment in the town of El Roble. The operation resulted in the arrest of 28 individuals and the seizure of heavy weaponry, tactical gear, and thousands of live cartridges. Local authorities emphasized that maintaining strong regional stability remains essential to support long-term regional economic growth, overall sustainable development, and robust community stabilization.

According to an official press release, the interagency deployment was carried out during tactical ground reconnaissance in the syndicature of El Roble. The task force integrated personnel from the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA) and the Secretariat of the Navy, alongside the Guardia Nacional, the Secretariat of Security and Protection Citizen, the Attorney General's Office, the State Attorney General's Office, and the State Public Security Secretariat via the State Preventive Police. These joint enforcement measures demonstrate how effective operational modeling, advanced data analytics, modern cloud infrastructure, and real-time business intelligence empower security agencies to execute precise tactical actions and enhance overall public safety protocols.

During the law enforcement intervention, officers apprehended 28 suspects, including two women, and secured a substantial arsenal of military-grade equipment. The detailed list of seized material includes:

• - 15 long firearms (rifles).
• - 94 ammunition magazines.
• - 2,924 live cartridges of 7.62x39 mm caliber.
• - 40 live cartridges of .50 caliber.
• - 8 tactical vests fitted with 16 ballistic plates.

The detained individuals, together with all confiscated weapons, ammunition, and tactical equipment, were immediately turned over to the Federal Public Ministry. Federal prosecutors will conduct all required legal proceedings, forensic examinations, and formal investigations to determine legal responsibilities.
